Elevator Outage Options

In case of an elevator outage, use the following options or contact the station agent for assistance. Agents can arrange a ride to a different station in an accessible van if needed. 

PLATFORMS 2 AND 4 ELEVATOR (SFO/MILLBRAE/DALY CITY, BERRYESSA DIRECTIONS) 

• Can't enter station:   Take the Platform 1/3 elevator and go back to Rockridge or Ashby to board desired train.
• Can't exit station:  Continue on BART to 19th St. Oakland and return to MacArthur.  Exit using Platform 1/3 elevator.

PLATFORMS 1 AND 3 ELEVATOR (ANTIOCH, RICHMOND DIRECTIONS) 

• Can't enter station:   Take the Platform 2/4 elevator and go back to 19th St. Oakland to board desired train.
• Can't exit station:  Continue on BART to Rockridge or Ashby and return to MacArthur.  Exit using the Platform 2/4 elevator.

Entering MacArthur Station

The train platforms at MacArthur Station are located on a raised platform. Concourse is on the street level.

Two separate elevators are located on 40th Street under the BART train overpass. Cross the street on 40th to access the elevator.

The two separate elevators are for Berryessa/North San José, San Francisco bound trains or Pittsburg/Bay Point, Richmond bound trains. Both separate elevator doors open inside the paid area. Press “P” for train platform level.

At the train platform level, form either elevator, you will be approximately at the center of the train boarding area.

Exiting MacArthur Station

The train platforms at MacArthur Station are located on a raised platform.

There are two separate elevators for either Berryessa/North San José, San Francisco bound trains or Pittsburg/Bay Point, Richmond bound trains located approximately at the center of the train platform. Both separate elevator doors open inside the paid area. Press “S” for street level.

When exiting from either elevator, you will be on 40th Street.
